The strength of the Virginia Dental Hygienists’ Association (VDHA) comes from members sharing their time, talents, and passion for our profession. As we plan for upcoming leadership and volunteer opportunities, we invite you to complete the VDHA Service and Leadership Interest Survey.
This survey shall identify members interested in serving in state leadership roles, seeking an elected position, joining a council or committee, and/or contributing their expertise to the association in other meaningful ways. Whether you are an experienced leader or looking to get involved for the first time, we encourage you to participate, as your voice does directly influence the direction of the dental hygiene profession in Virginia.
VDHA offers an array of opportunities, including, but not limited to:
Elected officer positions
House of Delegates roles
Council and Committee appointments
Advocacy Initiatives
Continuing Education events
Membership Engagement
Communications and Special Projects
Leadership development and mentorship are benefits of the VDHA experience, and previous experience is often not required for many volunteer opportunities. Completing this survey, helps us align your leadership skills and aspirations with service opportunities mutually beneficial to professional and personal advancement. You may also indicate your interest in being considered for a specific elected position or council/committee appointment.

This brief survey helps us appreciate the talents, experiences, and interests of our members. The first section allows you to share your current skills and experiences, while the second section allows you to identify areas of interest you would like to explore, strengthen, or develop through leadership and volunteer opportunities.
No previous experience is required to get involved. VDHA offers mentorship, leadership development, and a variety of opportunities ranging from short-term projects and behind-the-scenes support to committee service, advocacy initiatives, event planning, and leadership positions. Completing this survey, helps us connect you with rewarding opportunities while strengthening the advancement of our association and profession.
